We are located a very easy, scenic drive from Stowe, Jay Peak, Smuggler's Notch and the Burlington area. Our specially built, two mile access road will bring you directly to our dog center all four seasons of the year. In the winter, although the roads in are plowed, we encourage you to have 4-wheel drive or snow tires for the steep hills and to allow enough time for the day's road conditions. PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT use GPS, MAPQUEST or any other computer generated system for directions as they will send you up snow mobile trails where you may get stuck!!!!!! AND cell phones do not work here in our remote area. WE want you to enjoy your experience! PLEASE DOWNLOAD directions from our site, use the ones on the brochure OR CALL US at 802-635-9070 or 866-635-9070 and we will happily give you the proper directions to get you here safely. Our 75 acre center is located in the midst of three thousand, protected, gorgeous wilderness acres in Northern Vermont. On average it takes about 45 minutes from the town of Stowe, fifty minutes from Smuggler's Notch area, an hour from Burlington and twenty-five minutes from Jay Peak. Our Boston guests have usually made it in four hours, weather permitting. Our center, nestled between mountains with long range views of the Lowell Mountain range, offers an opportunity to experience old time, country Vermont. The peace and quiet here are incredible. Although we cannot guarantee particular wildlife sightings - depending on season our guests have seen deer, moose, hawks, flocks of wild turkeys and the many wonderful songbirds that gather here. Along with taking many memorable pictures of the dogs and your experience you will want to have plenty of camera batteries and space on your memory cards for the beautiful views of our setting. Visitors regularly request that their mushers stop so that they can photograph the wonders! Our trails are specially designed to give a wonderful, fun adventure AND to take in the pleasurable beauty of our natural setting. Please consider coming for a dog sled or d0g-sledding-on-wheels adventue any season of the year - you will love it here! |

Our trails are absolutely the best! They have been specially planned, engineered and built at a cost of thousands of dollars. in materials alone so that you will have a very fun, exciting adventure through our 75 acres of forest and meadows in the midst of 3000 acres of pristine, protected Vermont wilderness. The long range views of the Lowell mountain range have our guests begging us to stop so that they can take pictures! AS we are a real center for Dog sledding where race mushers and dog-powered sports enthusiasts come from all New England and Canada to train their teams - and because we offer our wonderful, Discovery Channel type fun, learning experiences with our friendly, huggable dogs - we have very expensive snow grooming equipment and a full time staff to maintain our trails - just as you would expect at a ski touring center. This assures you of a fun experience that will not be cut short because of downed trees or storms that have closed down state or snow mobile trails. In WINTER we also have snow! When the rest of the state has warmed up and is dealing with mud conditions so that skiing and winter sports are only a dream - WE HAVE SNOW! Our Micro-climate in Eden Mills has had an abundance of snow that is legend in Vermont. There is a folk saying that when the rest of the state is raining, Eden Mills has snow. So please, if you are sitting around your B&B, Inn or Ski Lodge and wondering how to salvage your vacation because of lack of snow - call us at 866-635-9070 or 802-635-9070 and ask us about the snow on our trails! And please think about us for your spring, summer and fall fun experiences in Vermont. Our special trails allow us to give you a wonderful dog-sledding-on-wheels experience through the beauty of this special Vermont wilderness experience. See our special section on this adventure. You get to learn about the sport, hitch the dogs and ride off onto our special trails. Mid-way through you will stop at the pond and participate in the antics of our dogs as they swim in the pond, free race at incredible speed for cookies and perform their many antics to amuse you. After another ride you can enjoy lemonade and cookies at a picnic table around the property and/or bring a picnic lunch to spend more time with our wonderful views and quiet. |

Our clients report a new sense ability to accomplish and of inner peace that they take back into the their home lives and work environments. Please call us at 802-635-9070 to discuss your needs. U -Drive lessons
We require that guests learning the sport take at least two lessons. The first lesson will educate you on all of the functioning parts of the team; you will ride in the sled and get a sense of the trails' terrain, the speed of the dogs and the feel of the sled. During that lesson you will have opportunities to ride the runners. On the second lesson we will give you your own team to drive with the background you gained in your first day's experience. You will drive either a 3-4 dog team behind the guide's lead sled, or a larger team with your guide riding as your passenger. No guests are allowed to ride in sleds driven by our students; those passengers can ride in the guide's lead sled. The two lesson series may be done on consecutive days, or on a single day with a mid-day break for lunch. For those coming with their own dogs to learn the sport we require two lessons, and we highly recommend three. The first day is a real acclimating experience for your dog. By the second day they are often just beginning to catch on. It is on the third day that we generally see things really "click" for those dogs who do show potential for success. Call us at 802-635-9070 for any questions that you may have.
